In the midst of a pandemic, supply issues, and an insane housing market, Mat somehow managed to find the most perfect piece of land for our family, where he built our dream home. Every detail was important to us as we wanted this home not only to be functional, but also to make a statement with our style and preferences. Mat and his team were able to take our ideas and visions and bring them to life with professional knowledge and quality custom designs. He also shared great ideas and options for things that we didn’t realize could be done or existed. Communication was open and transparent throughout the entire build. My fiancé and I were driving down the road one day and saw a beautiful house being built and decided to contact the builder. Mat was easy to work with and we ended up not needing an agent at all. The house is gorgeous and is no way cookie cutter. The attention to detail is superb and everything done on the inside is gorgeous. He even put in trails throughout the property that are the little extra that show he cares. Any questions about the property I’ve ever had I’ve been able to contact him and he has answered them expeditiously. If you buy one of his house you can rest assured it will be quality and not cookie cutter junk that’s being thrown up all over. He makes homes that you can be proud to call your forever home. Great work ethic; job well done. Mat worked on several projects in our house – sunroom, kitchen remodeling, patio, to name a few. He and his crew were exceptional. They paid attention to details. Mat Lasater Construction is answered Prayer! My mother, brother, and I moved to TN from 3 different locations out of state. We combined 3 homes into 1 home. The newly built home we purchased had a large attic space that was not usable. Mat, Ken, Scott, and team came in and converted this space into a bonus room, closet, and storage space. They did the research with current structure plans and licensing needed and exceeded our expectations. All aspects of this project was met with creativity and excellence. I wanted to take the time and opportunity to thank Mat Lasater and his team for delivering on their promise- to give us our dream home! Building a custom home isn’t all rainbows and lollipops. There are variables and obstacles that will inevitably arise along the way. A good contractor knows how to navigate these issues, finding the perfect blend of client involvement and protective omission. What I mean by that is this, if you as the client knew everything that happened behind the scenes, you wouldn’t sleep at night. A good contractor values your sanity and involves you in the decisions that require your input, while simultaneously protecting you and personally/privately taking care of the issues that would only rob you of your sanity. Mat knows the perfect balance between the two options. Also, economically, we decided to build our home on the back end of a pandemic, and on the front end of a recession. Regardless of supply chain issues, our house was built in record time, without compromising quality. To say we got everything we asked for in our build would be an understatement. Thank you Mat and your skillful team for giving us our beautiful, forever home!
